Fundraisers today operate in an environment where the increased number of nonprofit organizations seeking funding combined with the economic undertainty of our times to make it a real challenge to secure funds for quite worthy endeavors.

Into this environment the Foundation Center has introduced a new database, Corporate Giving Online , that will help fundraisers identify businesses that are entering the field of philanthropy by providing funds, services and in-kind donations of equipment and products to worthy recipients. Corporate Giving Online is updated weekly and is the “fastest most accurate path to corporate funds and resources;' this database is available now in the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County's Grant Center at the Main Library, 305 Wick Avenue where staff can get you started with the database that offers

• More than 3,700 detailed company profiles
• More than 2,700 company-sponsored foundations
• Nearly 1,400 direct corporate giving programs
• Nearly 100,000 recently awarded grants
